Meet the Instructors
Hello! My name is Lucas Jakobi. I am the founder of LP Music School. I also teach drums and bass! I have been teaching for over 10 years and have been playing professionally for 12 years. I love music and love nothing more than to share and explore it with others.
When I was a kid, I definitely had my fair share of music teachers. Some were great, and some were not so great. I always found that I would practice more often, and improve overall when I was learning something that I had an interest in. I knew when I started teaching, I wanted to expand on that concept. Music is meant to be celebrated, and fun, so that is exactly how music lessons should be.
Lessons with me will be exactly that: fun, while still focusing on important fundamentals like technique, theory, and style.
Hey! My name is Carlos Austin and I teach electric and acoustic guitar. I have been teaching for 5 years and playing professionally for 10 years. I love music and all of the opportunities, experiences, and friendships I have gained because of it. I also enjoy sharing music and discovering new songs.
I began teaching myself guitar at age 12 and started formal lessons a few years later. One challenge I always faced was taking the theory and techniques I was learning in class and applying them to the music I wanted to learn. I wish I had someone to help me connect the dots. I knew when I started teaching, I wanted to help others bridge that gap and make learning music fun, enjoyable, and accessible.
My goal is to not only teach you the music you want to learn, but also teach you the necessary tools, fundamentals, and theory that will make practicing and learning easier and more enjoyable.
